Tagalog for beginners: How to introduce yourself
Video Tutorial on YouTube: How to Introduce Yourself in Tagalog

I'd like to teach you how to construct your speech when you are asked to introduce yourself in Tagalog. First of all, consider that you'd be speaking in front of more than two people and so I suggest the following structure on self-introduction:
  1. Greet a person or group of person, then show concern about the other at the time being.
  2. Say your name and other personal information.
  3. Give a strong testimonial about yourself. What is your relevance to the other person or group of people.
  4. Give your history leading to your objective or why you want to meet new people.
  5. Say your main objective, encourage your audience to take action.
  6. Finish your speech gently but with stronger call to action.

Your greetings:

Mabuhay. (it's the same as saying 'hi' or 'hello')
Kumusta? (in English it's 'how are you?')

Personal information you may wish to share them:

Ako si _____. (I am ________.) Fill in your name.
Ako'y __________. (I'm __________)Fill in the blank with any of the following:
